“Kaziranga Golden Silk Cooperative Society Ltd.” is a small initiatives of a few locals that are interested to emphasize on premising business of golden silk (Muga) in the lap of world heritage site Kaziranga. Along with this business we are opening our arms towards women empowerment that involves weaving, handloom, textile, handicrafts, culinary and many more which will lead to financial independence and self-sufficiency.

As, this society is in a very initial stage, it is our responsibilities to aware you about our vision and mission. Kaziranga Golden Silk Cooperative Society is basically a cooperative society formed with a business motive i.e., the production of golden silk (Muga,Eri, Nuni). As Kaziranga is blessed with a lot of natural resources as well as opportunities therefore we are very helpful in this regard.

The sale motive of this society is not only the production but to develop a market here in our Kaziranga and to spread nationwide. Keeping eyes on the demand of the Assam Silk in the international market we are hopeful on that too.

Apart from the golden silk, we are also interested to work for child development with the help of parents and guardians as well as wildlife conservation and tourism management. To add to that we would be happy to welcome other innovative ideas in near future.
